Sharp was the response of the government representative, Pavlos Marinakis, who spoke of a “cynical confession” when asked about the admission of SYRIZA MEP, Kostas Arvanitis, that he contributed to the writing of the article that provides for the suspension of funds if the country does not comply with the content of the European Parliament resolution on the rule of law.

You remember many cases of defamation of the country and this is another one.”

“A Greek MEP was elected by the vote of the Greek citizens to slander his country and make resolutions that will block money for our country,” the government representative emphasized.

It is recalled that the MEP of SYRIZA, Costas Arvanitis, in his statements to OPEN regarding the government’s reactions to the resolution in the European Parliament, said “they shouted at the government that we are anti-Greek and how is it possible to do it and we voted for it. I inform them that we have already written it.”
