Next week, the pre-election period for the European elections officially begins for SYRIZA-PSwith a big event in which the Stefanos Kasselakis will present the integrated European proposal of the partywhile the political text related to the party’s European declaration will also be presentedas reported by party sources after the conclusion of the meeting of the Executive Office.

The event, which will probably take place on March 12, it will mark the start of the pre-election period for the official oppositionwhere SYRIZA will fight the battle in a coordinated manneras Mr. Kasselakis pointed out according to the same sources. A battle, in the context of which there will be tours by the president of the party and by all executives throughout the country.

Alongside, SYRIZA this week will put a lot of emphasis on the fight against the establishment “private universities”as emphasized by the same sources by Mr. Kasselakis at the meeting, highlighting the “unconstitutionality” of the relevant government bill in a very organized manner in the Parliament, but also the positive counter-proposals that SYRIZA will submit for the strengthening of the public university.

The same sources emphasized regarding the issue of the Tempe tragedy that the truth should be sought and investigated in all depth and how M. Maximou should give answers for all revelations that are made public, such as “who ordered the botching”.

At the same time, according to the same sources, SYRIZA is following the issue of postal voting very carefully after the revelations, as they reported, that Anna-Michel Asimakopoulou used information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In SYRIZA they think that minister N. Kerameos, having the absolute political responsibility, as they note, must immediately give answers on how the information was leaked to the ND MEP. “Answers are due and the government should not play with words and create impressions”, they comment, stressing that SYRIZA will persist in demanding not only answers from Ms. Asimakopoulou but primarily from Ms. Kerameos “who as long as she does not answer and hiding will imply that he knew about the leak of this information. And if he didn’t know, he should answer who leaked this information.”

According to the same information, on the weekend, the elections for the Prefectural Committees will be held as usual and the coordinating bodies of the Member Organizations. In addition, on Saturday the Executive Bureau will meet again via teleconference.
