Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis made a surprise visit to a supermarket this morning, after the start of the implementation of the new measures for precision which is expected to bring a drop in the price of thousands of products.

The Prime Minister accompanied by the Minister of Development Kostas Skrekas they were found in a supermarket on Lenorman Street.

The prime minister referred to the efforts to deal with accuracy saying that “obviously we have not dealt with the problem of accuracy, it is an ongoing battle, but it is an important structural step concerning the operation of the market itself, which will have the expected result with reduced prices for the consumer on a range of important products’.

Mr. Mitsotakis made a special reference to baby milk, saying that “with the intervention we did we see reductions of 15 to 20%”.

“The effort continues,” he emphasized.

Lent basket

Speaking earlier on Mega, Mr. Skrekas announced that today the decision and the “Lent basket” will be signed, which will be implemented from Wednesday, March 13 until Holy Saturday.

It will include frozen seafood and various salads, i.e. what is usually on the Lenten table.
