The president of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras, launched a new attack against the government by addressing the Plenary Session of the Parliament in the debate on the bill for the modernization of EFKA, talking about “blue bribes” and “golden boys”.
“You filled the State with converts and blue bribes. You did the same to PPC. You abolished ASEP, you created two-speed employees with cheap salaries of 600 euros and with executives with increased salaries. “You abolished transparency by opening the door to bribery”, he stated characteristically, emphasizing that ND parasodically considers the state its “tsifliki”.
At the same time, he criticized the government for hiring high-paid executives at PPC in order, as he said, to secure the “blue children”.
“How many general addresses did you find at PPC in 2019? 7! And how many did you make? 15! Out of 27 managers today, you have 105 with high salaries. “Out of 60 assistant managers you found in 2019, today you have 250. PPC is also your store”, he said.
He reiterated that the government “gifted to the funds the property of the Greek people overnight.” “We invested 100 million euros in the Share Capital Increase as a major shareholder to lose 15% of the shares by transforming PPC from a Utility Company into a Blue Golden Benefit Company,” he underlined.
He pointed out that PPC executives are proud of the high profitability of 850 million euros at the end of 2021, at a time when they have “exhausted households with huge electricity bills.
At the same time, the president of SYRIZA personally succeeded in the managing director of PPC, Mr. George Stassis, characterizing him as the “golden-boy” and emphasizing that his salary is 6 times higher than that of his predecessor in SYRIZA.
“Mr. Stassis cleans 360,000 annually together with the bonuses. “You are a sucker, the deputies of ND, because you did not go to become blue golden boys and you came here and you play it blue vultures”, he said.
In fact, he stated that the head of PPC receives 4 times more money from the prime minister. “Why sweat if tariffs have risen? “In his old shoes”, pointed out Mr. Tsipras.
Addressing the Minister of Labor, Kostis Hatzidakis, he blamed the government for the privatization of Olympiaki, TRAINOSE, PPC, HEDNO, LARCO, auxiliary insurance and “now EFKA”, noting that “the responsibility of politics lies with Polit. ».
Emphasizing that Mr. Hatzidakis was in two critical ministries, the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Labor, he said: “Do you feel with all this social disaster with the energy bills, that you did everything well or owe explanations to the Greek people?”.
In fact, he added that when Mr. Hatzidakis had taken over the Ministry of Energy, the government increased prices, eliminating, as he added, the reduction of about 15% brought by SYRIZA in the spring of ’19, reducing VAT to the lowest rate in energy.
