“Anyone’s access to a confidential file with sensitive personal data of citizens who registered in the process of participating in the elections rings a bell for the risk of fraud in the postal vote in the upcoming European elections” said the SYRIZA MP
Mr. Kasselakis is known to have been in the US for 21 years and owned the company you refer to, which is not offshore, it is an American company that is taxed to the last dollar by the American government, noted Theodora Tzakri speaking on the Today show in .
He added that it is well known that the US tax system is the strictest and most transparent in the world and that every last dollar is taxed.
Mrs. Tzakri mentioned that Mr. Kasselakis, as the leader of SYRIZA, has an obligation to submit a statement “where you belong” and he must do so by 30/6/2024.
He added that it is difficult to interpret whether Mr. Kasselakis can have a company abroad, as he is an extra-parliamentary leader.
“As a lawyer, I don’t know how to interpret it,” he said characteristically.
Regarding the intervention of the former financial director of SYRIZA, Thymios Georgopoulos, Ms. Tzakri said that Mr. Kasselakis has the right to choose his associates and that Mr. Georgopoulos made some allegations after his removal that were, however, completely refuted.
“Documented documents were presented on how much, how and when Mr. Kasselakis’ money was given to the Left Media company and when it was returned,” Ms. Tzakri noted.
Regarding yesterday’s Kasselakis statement on justice, Ms. Tzakri commented that “Mr. Kasselakis says everything”.
He then launched an attack on the government for the Tempe case, saying that instead of messing around and cleaning up the scene of the tragedy, the state should have ordered an investigation.
He also raised questions such as who the government is protecting, where the order was given to bomb the crash site, how the xylene was transported and whether there is any documentation of the transport.
“I will never speak without evidence about interventions in Justice, I am simply asking the questions,” said Ms. Tzakri.
He then referred to the case of the leaking of the emails, saying that the investigation should primarily focus on Ms. Asimakopoulou.
He spoke of the apparent incompetence of the Ministry of the Interior, while he said that the investigation should focus on how MEP Anna Michelle Asimakopoulou obtained the e-mail addresses.
In fact, Mrs. Tzakri also spoke about the inability of the Ministry of the Interior to protect the personal data of Greek citizens and the election process itself: “Anyone’s access to a confidential file with sensitive personal data of citizens who registered in the process of participating in the elections rings a bell for the risk of fraud in the postal vote in the upcoming European elections”.
And he added: “I raise the issue of protecting citizens’ data and protecting the electoral process, especially with the new way it is being done. The case must be clarified before the European elections.”
Regarding yesterday’s reaction of the church, he commented that this too will be overcome by social development, while he noted that things are leading to a separation of state and church.
She also noted that she herself will continue to attend church.
Finally, regarding the government’s measures against punctuality, he emphasized that Greece has the highest inflation in Europe and that punctuality is not affected in this way.
He added that the discounts announced are for the offers and gave the example of cleaners which had a 400% increase and now the price has been reduced by 15%.
Ms. Tzakri asked for a ceiling on profits for both the importer and the retailer, along with control mechanisms.
Otherwise, nothing happens, he commented.
