Dakota Johnson has no illusions about the reviews of her latest film, ‘Madame Web’. “Unfortunately, I’m not surprised it went the way it did”the actress said in an interview with “Bustle.”

However, for her, as she said, it was an experience to make this particular film. “I had never done anything like this before. I’ll probably never do anything like that again, because I don’t make sense in this world. And I know this now”.

Johnson also noted that the final film was not exactly what she had signed on for. “Sometimes in this industry you sign up for something and then as you do it it becomes a completely different thing. It was a real learning experience and of course it’s not nice to be a part of something that gets ‘buried’ by critics, but I can’t say I don’t understand.”he pointed out.

In the film, Dakota Johnson played the eponymous character of Cassandra Webb/Madame Web, who is associated with the iconic superhero Spider-Man.

The film’s debut marked the lowest opening for any film in the Sony Spider-Man universe and one of the worst starts for any film based on a Marvel Comics character. The film received a flurry of negative reviews and comments.

“Films are made by a director and a group of artists around him,” the actress said. “You can’t make art based on numbers and algorithms. My sense has been for a long time that the public is extremely intelligent and executives have come to believe that they are not. The public will always be able to pick out the nonsense. Even if they start making movies with artificial intelligence, people aren’t going to want to see them.”.

During the press tour for “Madame Web,” many felt that Johnson appeared indifferent to the film, with some social media users calling her interviews “unbalanced.”
