The first 17 MEP candidates of NIKIS were presented by the Democratic Patriotic Movement party, officially announcing its candidacy for the upcoming European elections on June 9.
Among them is the Professor of Seismology and Director of the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, Akis Tselentis and the well-known actor Nikos Anadiotis.
“As in the selection of candidates for the national elections, so also for the European elections, NIKI chooses as candidates, people who live experientially the tradition of Romiosyny and that is why it is an honor for us to have them participate in our ballots.
The candidates that we are announcing today, as well as those that will be announced in the next period, are distinguished for their Faith, patriotism, commitment to the sacred institution of the traditional family, seriousness, like-mindedness, the spirit of cooperation, their high professional training and were chosen by the organs of the Movement. They are elite members, both in the local societies where they are active, and nationwide and therefore, adorn our ballots, the announcement states.
