Many support Piraeus Street and the 15th congress of the party that will take place from April 5 to 7 in Zappeion.

With yesterday’s passing of the bill on non-state universities (159 yes, 129 no, 11 present) the government is trying to make a “restart” and mainly erase the previous “bad result” from equality in civil marriage and the noise that had been caused. Some of the opposition charged the majority with even a declared loss and yesterday’s result was the response of Kyriakos Mitsotakis. This is also the reason why Maximos’ first comment on the proposal of the New Left was “the motion of no confidence is welcome”.
It is possible that the parties of the progressive opposition would have made a “rehearsal” of coming together if the proposal of Alexis Haritsis was accepted, however the New Democracy would gain the maximum possible mobilization before the European elections. In May 2019, it achieved a percentage of 33.12%. This is the lowest bar for the blue faction with the majority of executives expressing optimism, as no survey – in the vote estimation – has shown the party of Kyriakos Mitsotakis moving so low. The difference from the second will also play a big role. In any case, if it is maintained above 20 points it will mean a lot especially for the opposition forces and the distance they have to travel.
The fact that SYRIZA recorded a very anemic rise after its conference did not go unnoticed by Maximos, while PASOK appears to be losing strength in the latest opinion polls. New Democracy seems to be losing votes from the people who are very close to the church because of same-sex marriage. Because of this, after all, the percentages of the Greek Solution and Victory appear enhanced.
Many rest on Piraeus Street and at the 15th party congress which will take place from April 5 to 7 in Zappeion.
New Democracy will celebrate its 50th anniversary in a historic venue and it will certainly be the prime minister’s best chance to deliver a powerful “injection of morale booster” to the center-right faction world. The big bet for Kyriakos Mitsotakis in the next period will be for the government to win the battle for accuracy. And if a clear victory is difficult at least to achieve a good reduction in prices that will bring disaffected voters back to the ranks of the blue party. The tours in the next period will intensify with the Prime Minister visiting Thessaloniki on Monday. He will attend the pre-conference of New Democracy. It is clear that special emphasis will be placed on northern Greece, where there appear to be the greatest losses for the majority.
