“From the beginning, PASOK clearly requested the establishment of a pre-investigation committee based on the conclusion of the European Prosecutor in order to shed light on the criminal responsibilities”, emphasized the PASOK president
The president of PASOK-Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakiscriticized the ND’s conclusion to the Commission of Inquiry on the Tempe tragedy as a “monument of shame and insult to the Greek people”.
“Today, its work is formally completed Commission of Inquiry, of a committee that from the beginning the governing majority made it clear that its goal was not to reveal the truth about the crime of Tempe, but to cover up the responsibilities of its ministers and the “blue children” of OSE and ERGOSE. The conclusion, submitted by New Democracy, is a monument of shame and insult to the Greek people”, stressed Mr. Androulakis in his statement.
He added that “the European Public Prosecutor’s Office reiterated what all the experts, including the government’s own appointed experts, had pointed out and we had emphasized from the beginning: If the 717 remote control contract had been completed on time in 2016, our 57 fellow citizens would not have lost the their life. For Mr. Mitsotakis, however, everything was a human error, the bad moment.”
Mr. Androulakis noted that “the PASOK from the beginning, in a clear way, he asked for the establishment of a pre-investigation committee based on the conclusion of the European Prosecutor to shed light on the criminal responsibilities” and stressed: “We will not stop this fight. We have to deal with the pathologies of the state so that it has the reflexes to investigate, identify, punish and finally correct itself. We owe it to the memory of our fallen fellow human beings and their families, who climb a Golgotha”.
