“The Court of First Instance accepted our lawsuit and ruled the strike-suspension illegal which ADEDY had announced against the evaluation of public servants” says the Minister of the Interior Niki Kerameos, in a post on her personal social media account.

“We are vigorously continuing the efforts for a better public, in which its human resources will be constantly improved and which will better serve the citizen” points out Mrs. Kerameos.

ADEDY’s first reaction

“Colleagues,

As the legal advisor informed us, today, Monday, March 11, 2024, the decision no. 228/2024 of the Court of First Instance of Athens was issued in the action against the abstention from the assessment n. 4940/2022, which judges the strike-abstention as formally illegal because the obligation provided by law to notify its demands at least four days before the strike was declared was not respected, as well as because the obligation to hold a public dialogue was not respected. Having ruled the strike as formally illegal, the court did not proceed to examine any grounds for characterizing the strike as abusive or political.

We are sending you the decision no. 228/2024 of the Single Member Court of First Instance of Athens.

The decision produces results from its notification which is expected”.
