Ambassador Bizakis has been serving in the Turkish capital since December 12, coming from the position of chargé d’affaires at the Greek embassy in Washington
He submitted his credentials to the Turkish president on Tuesday Recep Tayyip Erdoganthe ambassador of Greece in Ankara, Theodoros Bizakis.
After presenting his credentials, the Greek ambassador joined other ambassadors in an iftar dinner, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims, hosted by Mr. Erdogan at the presidential palace in Ankara.
Ambassador Bizakis has been serving in the Turkish capital since December 12, coming from the position of chargé d’affaires at the Greek embassy in Washington.
Theodoros Bizakis was born in 1968 in Veria and joined the diplomatic corps in 1994, after studying at the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and European Law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles-Institut d’Études Européennes.
In addition to the Central Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he previously served in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nicosia and NATO.
He speaks English, French, German, Russian and Spanish.
He is married and has one daughter.
