Ministry sources, when asked whether the schedule of the Confidence Building Measures meeting with Greece is certain, said that the Turkish side is emphasizing in maintaining positive dialogue between the two sideshowever, reiterate their determination to defend Turkey’s national interests.
Specifically, they stated the following: “We are in a period where we are mutually focusing on a positive agenda with Greece. At this time when we emphasize the importance of maintaining positive dialogue between the two sides, we believe that establishing a sincere and constructive relationship with a solution-oriented approach will benefit both countries. In this regard, we attach particular importance to the meetings on Confidence Building Measures. We believe that the CBM meetings are an important opportunity to continue the dialogue between the two sides, and therefore the next meeting is planned to take place in Athens towards the end of April. As Turkey, we take our steps in this context and repeat at every opportunity that we maintain our determination not to jeopardize our national interests.”

Alongside, Turkish Defense Ministry sources refer to the F-35 saying: “We believe we will be able to get back the money we paid for the F-35s. Negotiations on this matter are ongoing. At this stage, we have to focus on KAAN.”
