The political leadership of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport is launching the restart of a project that had been bogged down for the last 12 years, with the signing of a new contract so that the projects can proceed along the entire coastal front from Agios Konstantinos to Kam. The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Staikouras, referred to the actions of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, in order to proceed with the reconstruction of the coastal road of Agios Konstantinos and the construction of a level roundabout at the eastern entrance of Kameni Vourla, during the contract signing ceremony of the project, to theAgios Konstantinos Fthiotidas.

“It took a lot of hard work to get here. Several steps had to be completed” said Mr. Staikouras and added: “The budget of the total project amounts to 15.6 million euros and is covered by the Public Investment Program of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport”.

The minister emphasized that the project “completions a series of interventions that have been implemented and are being implemented in recent years in the municipality of Kamena Vourla, such as the upgrading of the port of Agios Konstantinos, the 24-hour operation of the Health Center of Kamena Vourla and the utilization of the thermal springs of the Baths of Kamena Vourla and Konjavite. The infrastructures combined with the investments are expected to change the development and tourism map of the region”.

“Fthiotida can be optimistic. This is a very important project” said the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, responsible for Infrastructure, Nikos Tahiaos and expressed the need “for projects like this one to go forward, which prove that the state takes care of the everyday life of the citizen”.

As Mr. Tachiaos pointed out, “the implementation of this project is a feat, which must be credited to the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport” and added that “in this government, the institutional order is a reality of all those who participate in the composition her”.
