“We denounce the unnecessary and unprovoked intrusion of police forces into the School of Applied Sciences of the AUTH and the arrests of students in the pile” says in a statement KNE and points out:

“The police operation is connected to the government’s failed attempt to slander the struggle of thousands of students against the extremism law on private universities, to portray arrested students as “criminals”, to impose a “silence” on fair student demands for exclusively public and truly free studies for everyone! This is also confirmed by the obscene propaganda by government officials who go so far as to identify the organized student movement with criminal acts.

The majority of students spoke. The government’s unacceptable law has been rejected. The male and female students, with their struggle, organized in their student associations, guarding their claims, will “tear” the plans to intensify the repression and degrade their studies”.

“We demand that the unacceptable persecutions stop and that the students be released,” the KNE emphasizes, concluding its announcement.
