“Unfortunately, the Mitsotakis government proves once again how it perceives the rule of law and the fundamental principle of the separation of powers”
The unprecedented revelations regarding the leakage of the personal data of emigrant voters from the Ministry of the Interior to the ND party apparatus, would have led to the immediate dismissal of the relevant Minister in any privileged European country and to an immediate clarification of the scandal by the Justice states in a statement The SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance.
“Unfortunately, the Mitsotakis government proves once again how it perceives the rule of law and the fundamental principle of the separation of powers.
Instead of her apology to the Greek people and her resignation from the position of Minister of State for Internal Affairs, Ms. Kerameos, in a move – a monument of political audacity, makes “informational” visits to the USA and Canada to speak to the same public whose personal data , were instrumentalized by the Mitsotakis government for vote-grabbing purposes.
How does the government really expect voters to trust the postal voting process, when just three months before the European elections, voters’ personal information is illegally trafficked?
Ms. Kerameos and the rest of the ND executives, instead of essentially setting up party events at our Consular Authorities abroad, should immediately apologize to the Greek people for the illegal leakage of personal data by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and present – if they can – a road map to ensure the privacy of voters’ details.
SYRIZA – PS firmly insists on the need for a holistic investigation of the leak scandal by the judiciary. The actions of the New Democracy not only take advantage of the love of the Greek Expatriates for the homeland, but at the same time significantly degrade the very quality of our democracy”.
