Loud response from referees and KED to Beo

by

Volos and Achilleas Beos issued announcements before the match Kifisia-OFI (0-0). The Thessaly team described the referees’ definitions in the match as dangerous. A little while later the powerful man of PAE verbally attacked Stavros Mandalos for the same issue. He mentioned the names of the referee of the match, Michalis Matsoukas, the fourth referee Kostas Poulikidis and the VAR referee Stathis Gortsilas, considering that they had favored Kifissia and other matches of this year’s championship. The answer came on the field. The aforementioned referees not only did not cause a problem for OFI but were correct in their cooperation in making the right decisions in all the contested phases of the match. Bew’s claims and characterizations fell apart. They turned out to be completely wrong.

KED proved that it made the right choices of referees and assistants in a very crucial match. She triumphantly emerged victorious in the battle of impressions against Beo, who was exposed. Kifisia and OFI did not deal with the arbitration in the end. Instead they congratulated Matsuka and his partners for playing 50-50. The referee showed his intentions from the start of the game and finished it with the same playing philosophy. Those referees and the refereeing committee earned points in that game.

“What did you see;”

In the 8th minute there was contact between Mateos Santos and Larson inside the OFI area. The Kifissia striker asked for a penalty but Matsoukas correctly let the game continue. “What did you see;” VAR referee Stathis Gortsilas asked him. Matsoukas responded that Mateus Santos tried to shoot and missed the ball. Immediately afterwards he fell down without causing Larson to fall. “That’s exactly what I saw,” Gortsilas told him, confirming that there was no violation. At 75? the ball came into contact with Tsapan’s hand inside the Kifissia area. It was stuck to the home defender’s body. Matsoukas and Gortsilas again had the same opinion about the phase and the game continued without a problem.

Good performance Stefanis

Giorgos Stefanis of EPS Karditsa had a good performance in the match. He reacted correctly in the 19th minute when he flagged Iseka for offside, who then headed the ball into the net. The phase was very marginal and he deserves congratulations for spotting the offense in the normal flow of the match. After several minutes the result came out after the lines were drawn and the confirmation came from the VAR. At 38; the same assistant correctly let Baku finish the phase but Anagnostopoulos saved the ball. Second assistant Nikos Savvas was also good. Stefanis got credit from the referee observer for the 19th minute phase. The refereeing in Kaisariani received an excellent grade because all the referees assigned to the match performed very well. We wrote on the day of the definitions that Matsoukas was looking for an opportunity to get his blood back after his appearance in the Kifissia-Panserraikos game of the first round. He literally erased his mistakes in that match with the corresponding one in Kifissia-OFI.
