SYRIZA requests the citation of Kostas Karamanlis to justice for the accident in Tempi with its announcement again after yesterday’s speech by Maria Karystianou in the European Parliament.

In particular, the official opposition party states in its announcement “we add another question, which arises after what Maria Karystianou shockingly said yesterday in the European Parliament, representing the relatives of 57 dead and almost one and a half million citizens who have signed the letter demanding the lifting of parliamentary immunity of Kostas Karamanlis and activation of the law on the responsibility of ministers.”

The SYRIZA announcement in detail:

Since Sunday night, we have addressed a series of questions to Mr. Mitsotakis, all of which remain unanswered by his lascivious government representative, until today, Tuesday morning. We inform him that he is not going to escape. A sequel follows, which will be extremely interesting.

In the meantime, however, and while we wait for the answers, we add another question, which arises after what Maria Karystianou shockingly said yesterday in the European Parliament, representing the relatives of 57 dead and almost one and a half million citizens who have signed the letter demanding the lifting of parliamentary immunity of Kostas Karamanlis and activation of the law on the responsibility of ministers.

What must happen for Mr. Mitsotakis to be moved? How many “whys” and how many signatures are needed for him to reflect on his responsibilities?

We call on Mr. Mitsotakis to rise even now to the height that the office of Prime Minister imposes.

To put the truth above petty party interest.

Responsibility over solidarity between political factions. Stop the cover up now.

To adopt our proposal for the lifting of the parliamentary immunity of Kostas Karamanlis and for his referral to regular Justice.
