A surprise awaits the residents of Attica, ahead of the national anniversary of March 25.
As announcedand the District Governor Nikos Hardalias by posting it on the eve of the anniversary, i.e. Sunday, March 24 at 9 pm the sky will… light up differently impressively honoring the Greeks who sacrificed themselves for the country.

On Sunday evening, a few minutes after 21:00, those of you who find yourself in the center of Athens, look up! We light up the Athenian sky!
In an impressive way, we highlight and honor the Greeks who fought with courage and self-sacrifice, writing stories of heroism and self-sacrifice.

Greece became a Free State, spreading the message of the Struggle for National Independence throughout the World with the moving slogan “For Faith and Fatherland”.
