Speaking in Parliament in the context of the debate on the motion of no confidence, the Minister of Justice George Floridis he referred to the “bazomata” in Tempi for which the opposition accuses the government, stressing that those who talk about “bazomata” are for the “rubbish”.

The Minister of Justice accused the opposition of following an unreliable report and how did you expect that? to file a motion of no confidence, while the facts are known from the first moment of the event. They use, he noted, all that fuzzy stuff for “slumps”… They’re for slums.

Mr. Floridis also accused the opposition, and especially the official opposition, that he did not vote for the amendment which the government passed and enables the investigator to have immediate information at his disposal, such as the recorded conversations before the Tempe crash. As for the accusation of cover-up, he said that “the aim is to minimize it until the trust of the Greek people towards the institutions of the Greek democracy is abolished”.

“In the great issue of tragedy the government is constantly being abandoned by motley forces, those who are fighting for the truth to shine and we are here today for the truth to be understood. Well, this “government of the cover-up”, in the month of June, brought to parliament an urgent order… An order was passed for the investigator” he said among other things.

“In SYRIZA, I have news… you will shudder now… this provision you didn’t vote for her… you didn’t vote for her. Here I have you here you are. The provision brought by the government to enable investigators to listen to every conversation was not voted for by you who care about truth and transparency. Along with you, the other hypocrites, the gentlemen of Niki and the ladies, did not vote for her. And of course the KKE which does not vote for anything”.

The purpose, said the Minister of Justice, is to minimize until the trust of the Greek people is abolished against the institutions on the basis of which the Greek democracy operates (…) “Fascism always begins with the undermining of the basic institutions of democracy… parliament and justice… to this the government responds with actions…” he pointed out…
