“We start from Crete to go all over Greece, to every village in every city and to strengthen the democratic faction which is the force that will become an embankment and a barrier to the arrogance of Mr. Mitsotakis and the ND” said the president of PASOK-KINAL Nikos Androulakiswho is in Heraklion and had a meeting with the president and the administration of the city’s Labor Center.

Mr. Androulakis stated that after the presentation of the ballot, the battle for the European elections starts from Crete, noting that the Greek people “can no longer experience the triple corruption, cover-up, impunity” as he pointed out “this shakes the trust of the Greek people in politics and democracy”.

As he mentioned in his statements coming to Labor Center of Heraklion“we have a duty as a democratic faction to defend the institutions, this is what I did the day before yesterday from the Independent Authority” adding that “I will continue my fight, because our priority is sustainable development, social justice and quality democracy”.

“I want every employee to ask himself what the development of Mr. Mitsotakiswhen the purchasing power of the Greek people is the smallest in the entire Eurozone and the second smallest in the entire European Unionafter the people of Bulgaria” said the president of PASOK-KINAL, posing the question “what kind of development is this, which is based on the de-Hellenization of the Greek economy?”

He pointed out that Greece needs a resilient economy and a fair social policy “which will be based on another path” pointing out that “ND policies only help the few at the expense of the many” and that “every Greek woman and every Greek is paying for this” and especially the workers who, in the vast majority, are paid less than 1,000 euros per month and every 15th of the month experience the difficulty of buying the basic goods for their family”.

As he noted, in view of the European elections “we have a duty on June 9 to send the message that Greece needs another political force, to make a real opposition, to serve public health and public education” but also to help “to reduce the cost life and to have a fair tax system”.

“This will serve PASOK with all its strength” concluded Nikos Androulakis.

The president of EKHI and members of the Administration raised with Nikos Androulakis, labor issues, issues related to occupational accidents and disasters, the issue of wages and the sectoral collective agreements. In addition, they referred to the lack, as they said, of control mechanisms, but also of workers, and in addition to issues that concern society as a whole, such as the issue of public health understaffing, as they emphasized. In fact, in this light, they asked the president of PASOK-KINAL to make substantial interventions.

Mr. Androulakis in his visit to the Labor Center of Heraklion was accompanied by Heraklion MPs, MEP candidates and local party officials.

Immediately after, he will attend the presentation of the book by MEP candidate Yannis Maniatis entitled “Because there is no Planet B”, which will take place in the Manolis Karellis room in the Municipal building on Androgeo Street in Heraklion, by Eleftheroudakis Bookstore and Pataki Publications, under the patronage of the Region of Crete.
