“Today, those who owe less than 100 euros, will not be considered as uninsurable” stated the Minister of Labour, Domna Michailidou speaking on Thursday morning to SKAI and the show “Mismatched”, pointing out that this change regarding citizens’ insurance capacity will be submitted to the Parliament today.

Those on the other hand, they owe more than 100 euros they must pay or settle their debts and they will immediately acquire insurance capacity, the minister pointed out.

Easter gift

Regarding the Easter gift, the Minister of Labor pointed out that after the increase in the minimum wage the gift increases to 415 euros which is required to be paid. At the same time, allowances are also increasing, he underlined.

Concerning pension payment dates and gifts in April Mrs. Michailidou mentioned that on Thursday April 25th the main and auxiliary pensions in the private sector are paid and on Monday April 29th the public sector pensions.

Concerning the Easter gift in the private sector this is paid by the last working day of April.

For the platform of working pensioners

The minister was asked about the operation of the platform for working pensioners he pointed out that the government had found that 26,000 pensioners were working. Since the 30% withholding tax was cut, 64,000 pensioners have been declared, pointing out that most of them are not pensioners who have now entered the workforce, but people who were working until now and were not declared.

The goal of the European elections

Regarding the goal of the ND in the European elections, Mrs. Michaelidou said that “the goal is to keep the stability that our country currently has” stressing that our country and the economy are taking the credit at the moment and that it is important that there is no abstention.
