Nikos Androulakis expressed his certainty that PASOK-Movement for Change will, in the European elections, rapidly increase its percentages and be on the winning side, from the 9th Economic Forum of Delphi.

“I ask that the people trust us. We will be in second place with significantly increased percentages. This will send a strong political message that the country needs a reliable programmatic opposition and not a lifestyle opposition”underlined the president of PASOK-KINAL, thus leaving spikes against SYRIZA and the smaller parties, which appeared on the way to the ballot box for the European elections.

He stated optimistically that PASOK-KINAL is ready to put the country on a new path, with priority given to the regeneration of the National Social Security System, the upgrading of primary education, housing, because half the development cannot be is real estate, as he said, and the green transition.

Mr. Androulakis argued that only PASOK-Movement for Change has brought defeats to Mr. Mitsotakis and the ND, referring to this, the result in the municipal elections, the wiretapping case and the motion of no confidence. “In order to govern we must win on June 9 and become a strong opposition,” he stressed.

Asked about the opinion polls, he said that he is studying them but, as he added, “if I had listened to them, I would not have become leader, nor would we have received a single digit vote, which they gave us in the second national elections.”

According to the president of PASOK-KINAL, the commitment of ND and Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in 2019, to restore the institutions that were damaged during SYRIZA-ANEL is not realized and their wounds have not healed. “They have failed and must get the message: so far!”.

Nikos Androulakis commented on the prime minister’s interview with ANT1, stating that the ND and Mr. Mitsotakis remain unrepentant, as everything he did that led to the bankruptcy he continues to do now. He claimed that he has formed a closed and opaque system of power. He referred to the Politico report on the management of the Recovery Fund and argued that the ND does not want a debate, as he suggested, because it will be asked for explanations and does not want it to be seen that PASOK and the European Socialists are next to the people’s problems and not the EPP and the European Left.

Regarding the Prime Minister’s statement that he will deal with the deep state, Mr. Androulakis remarked: “Who shaped it? Don’t Mr. Mitsotakis and ND govern?”

His criticism of the Tempe case was severewhere he reiterated his position that the triptych was revealed: corruption – impunity – cover-up and pledged to do anything to reveal the truth in memory of the victims. “Mistakes are made, but if he had “paid” for the wiretapping from the beginning, the rest would not have leaked”, noted the president of PASOK-KINAL.

He also made a special mention of the disputed audio, strongly criticizing K. Mitsotakis for his claim that there is no governmental responsibility. “They said the same for the other cases,” noted Mr. Androulakis.

Regarding the wiretapping, he expressed the hope that before the European elections he would have been informed about the reason for his monitoring by Mr. Rammos, while he claimed that “I was monitored as soon as I started the election campaign for the PASOK leadership and they stopped four days after the election my. I will do everything I can to get them convicted, because they hurt the country.”

Nikos Androulakis also announced that PASOK-KINAL will take the initiative to prevent the “Spartans” from participating in the European elections.
