The bill of the Ministry of Culture on “Measures for the preservation and promotion of intangible cultural heritage, the protection and enhancement of Greek-language songs and recordings of young creators or artists, as well as the protection and diffusion of Greek language, in the context of the preservation and promotion of the intangible cultural heritage – Arrangements for the modernization of the commercial policy of the Organization for the Management and Development of Cultural Resources and other provisions”.
The draft law is introduced to the Plenary after the positive vote received by the Education Affairs Committee from the ND. On the contrary, SYRIZA, KKE and New Left were “against”, while PASOK-KINAL, Hellenic Solution, Niki and Spartans reserved their place in the Plenary today.
The Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni has announced that she will withdraw paragraph 5 of article 14 of the bill which provides for the possibility of using devices (machines) to record the broadcast program after the objections expressed by the bodies at the hearing and the Opposition parties. It has also reserved the proposals submitted regarding the extension of time for welfare of new creators and creations.
In the bill, until the start of the session, one ministerial amendment from the Ministry of Education and three parliamentary amendments from the SYRIZA parliamentary group have been submitted.
The provisions of the amendment of the Ministry of Education concern the Nursing Department of the School of Health Sciences of the Democritus University of Thrace regarding the entry into force of Law 5094/2024 (from the next academic year) and arrangements for admission to higher education.
The amendments tabled by the SYRIZA MPs concern the transfer to the Municipality of Propontis of the properties of the Nea Triglia Joint Stock Complex and the “Magazara” joint stock building, for their restoration, promotion and utilization as cultural spaces. Also, in the “equal access of people with disabilities to ASEP’s announcements for D.E. positions. Protection and Information of Museums and Archaeological Sites”.
