In the common visit of Archbishop Hieronymos and Kyriakos Mitsotakis next Friday, on the issue of the European elections but also on the dozens of arrests for the murder of the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis, it was mentioned the ND MEP candidate, Dimitris Tsiodras speaking on Tuesday morning to SKAI and the “Today” show.

“Everyone must listen to the Archbishop. The church has a specific position, just like the state,” pointed out Mr. Tsiodras, while at the same time calling “unacceptable” yesterday’s statement by the MP of Niki, Nikos Papadopoulos.

Regarding the European elections, the MEP candidate said that “The measurements confirm a strong ND lead. From there there are problems. Also, there are disagreements. The question is whether, by coming to the polls, the political stability of the country will prevail or some dissatisfaction that someone or someone will have”.

At the same time, referring to the pre-election statements of the president of SYRIZA, he said that what Mr. Kasselakis is only asking for is that “Mitsotakis and ND be destroyed”, adding that he does not tell us what exactly he is asking for. Regarding Mr. Kasselakis’ request for international observers, he commented that “Greece is not Zimbabwe asking for elections with international observers”

Finally, regarding the murder of Giorgos Lyggeridis and the arrests, he said that “the case is before the courts. Moving I decided. This whole large-scale enterprise is something unusual by Greek standards. And it will continue in order to put an end to the phenomenon that has plagued Greek society in recent years.”
