Subject of the resignation of the Minister of the Interior, Nikis Kerameosasked the president of PASOK, Nikos Androulakis, speaking earlier in the morning on OPEN on the occasion of the complaint about a burglary in the office of the Ministry of the Interior and the case of Anna-Michel Asimakopoulou and the leak of voters’ emails.

“Is this a serious and reliable European state? Is this government trustworthy? There is a serious issue of trust towards Mrs. Kerameos and Mr. Mitsotakis who is covering for her. For me, there is a question of Ms. Kerameos’ resignation, and I say so directly”, underlined the president of PASOK-Movement of Change.

Mr. Androulakis went a step further arguing that the Minister of the Interior has a duty to apologize and, if she cannot provide answers, to resign.« We are a few weeks before the European elections. There is a question of credibility of the interior ministry. If Mrs. Kerameos cannot provide answers, she must resign,” he specifically emphasized.

The president of PASOK-KINAL appeared optimistic about the success of PASOK and identified as his goal in the European elections a political result, i.e., he stated that “the result of the elections should be disapproval of the policy of the New Democracy and a reward for the democratic faction, so that there is a strong, serious opponent in the opposition and a government choice in the next national election. As long as New Democracy does not feel a political threat, it will despise the problems of the Greek people and play with the strengths of our society,” he noted.

“Why does New Democracy furiously attack PASOK? Like all her media tentacles? Because they know very well that if their opponent is the current leadership team of Mr. Kasselakis, the hegemony of New Democracy will not be threatened” added Mr. Androulakis. “PASOK will fight for the big goal, which is in the next national elections, to have an opponent who can beat New Democracy. And now it’s another step” he said addressing the voters.

Regarding the discrediting of the National Health System, Mr. Androulakis emphasized that PASOK will vote against the amendment of the Minister of Health for the provision of private services to the NHS, because “it confirms the intention to privatize the NHS through the window”.
