This year will have the flavor of elections Easter as almost a month before the polls of the European elections, leaders and executives of all parties will be in the regions for the Holy days, while combining the few days of Easter holidays, with the pre-election messages they want to communicate to their voters.

An additional special feature of the present Easter and pre-election period – at the same time – is the confrontation that has opened up between the parties regarding their relations with the Church, especially after the statements by specific party officials to the right of the ND, who claim the “exclusivity of of faith” as commented by government officials. Comments and exhortations, however, that did not dampen the intentions of any member of parliament and executive of another party who wishes to attend the temples and churches of the country, as they traditionally do on these days every year.

The “nod” was made by himself Prime Minister yesterday, attending the Metropolis of Athens, in order to attend the Mass of the Holy Passion and the twelve Gospels, presided over by Archbishop Hieronymos, with whom he was greeted by a handshake. He also confirmed the climate of reconciliation with the Church which occurred after the recent meeting that Mr. Mitsotakis had with Mr. Hieronymos in the structures of the Church in Delesi, putting an end to the rupture that had occurred with the same-sex marriage law couples. While the intervention of the Archbishop, calling on the parties not to do politics in the name of the church, was of decisive importance for the restoration of relations. And yesterday, Mr. Hieronymos did not want to follow up on what had happened in the previous period, stating when he was asked about the presence of the prime minister in the Metropolis that “We are here to celebrate and we find everything else”.

Under this climate, a short break from the pre-election battle will be made in the coming days by the political leaders, taking a “breather” for the “deep” pre-election period that will peak after the holidays and until June 9.

According to information, the Prime Minister together with his family will go to Tinos where the family maintains a country house, in order to spend the Easter days together and in the atmosphere of the days, away – for a while – from pre-election tours, contacts and politics fermentations.

“The terpnon after the useful” seems to apply to its president SYRIZA as he managed to combine another tour with a pre-election theme, with the Easter holidays, being in Corfu, where, in addition to the visits and contacts with local actors included in his program, he will attend the services of the days and attend the traditional Easter celebrations customs of the island, while on Easter Monday he will also visit them Paxos.

Within the walls will remain o Nikos Androulakiswho will attend the Mass of the Resurrection in the Metropolis of Athens, while tonight he will probably be in a parish in Keratsini or Korydallos for the Epitaph Mass.

THE Dimitris Koutsoubas he chose his special hometown, Lamia, where he is expected to take a few days’ vacation.
