PASOK asks the government to inform all international organizations about the matter that has arisen
For a “serious challenge” on the part of its newly elected president North Macedonia he speaks in his announcement PASOKstressing that he expects the actions that the government will take.
In more detail, the announcement of PASOK through the Parliamentary Representative and responsible K.T.E. Dimitris Mantzou of Foreign Affairs:
“The reference of the newly elected President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Gordana Silianovska, to “Macedonia” instead of the constitutional name of the neighboring country, during her swearing-in ceremony, constitutes a serious challenge.
It is an unfortunately expected action, long announced by the nationalist VMRO-DPMNE and implemented in zero time, violating the Prespa Agreement and undoing its foundation.
The Prime Minister spoke yesterday about “issues” that would arise if the pre-election rhetoric continued post-election. We are now waiting for the actions that the Greek Government will take to react to the challenge, responding both bilaterally and multilaterally, communicating the issue to international organizations, the EU and NATO”.
