The Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection pointed out in a post on twitter that this is not negligence but repeated criminal behavior
In a post on “X”, the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection refers to the fires that occurred within a few days in the same area on Mount Aegaleo, Vassilis Kikilias underlining that “it is no longer a matter of negligence but of repeated criminal behavior”.
Specifically, Mr. Kikilias emphasizes: “Today is the third fire in a few days that the Fire Service has caught and successfully tackled in the same area on Mount Aigaleo. This is no longer a matter of negligence, but of repeated criminal conduct. I am asking citizens, whenever they notice something suspicious, to immediately contact 112 or 199”.
It is noted that the Fire Service was called on April 27, yesterday and today to deal with a fire in low vegetation in the same area, at the foot of Mount Aigaleo.
