“I believe that in the European elections, PASOK will be the big winner, with a much larger percentage than both the 2019 European elections and the 2022 national elections,” said the president of PASOK-KINAL, Nikos Androulakis, speaking on Wednesday morning to SKAI and “Mismatched” show.

As he explained, there are many reasons for someone to vote for PASOK. “The first is because the country needs a serious, reliable opposition. The second, in order to have a serious government choice in the government elections and the third is that in the European elections the government associations are also judged”.

According to Mr. Androulakis, the debate on the day of the European elections will be about what we got, what we have and he pointed out that “the crucial thing for me is to send a message of disapproval of the arrogance of the 41% and strengthening the reliable progressive opposition”.

“Our goal is the second place with much increased percentages” the president of PASOK repeated and said that “if PASOK is strong it can unify the progressive world”.
At the same time, he pointed out that “the only hand that can open Maximos’ door is that of PASOK”.

Launching an attack against the president of SYRIZA-PS, Nikos Androulakis said that “Mr. Kasselakis has a peculiar immunity from both the ND and the domestic oligarchy” and argued that today the media system controlled by Mr. Mitsotakis wants to impose as his opponent this situation so that he does not have a political opponent.

“Mitsotakis chooses his opponents” said Mr. Androulakis.

At the same time, he said that he has proposed a debate but no one was interested.

Wiretapping

When asked about the wiretapping, he said that he is waiting to be informed by the Independent Authority about the formal justification because he has learned the real one. “They are the PASOK internal parties of 2021. They started as soon as I submitted my candidacy and stopped when I became president,” he said.

For North Macedonia

Regarding the provocative attitude of the new president of Skopje, Gordana Silianovska, who in a speech called the country “Macedonia” and her party, Mr. Androulakis said that “we must formalize the disrespect for this agreement” and emphasized that it is not possible to ratify the protocols for the agreement now. “It will be a goal from the locker room.”

For her Prespa Agreement he said he is a “lame deal” where there are many gaps.

Regarding the visit of the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama to Athens, Mr. Androulakis commented that it was not accidental as the government wanted to present it. “They scorn our intelligence when they tell us that by chance Rama came,” he said.

While regarding Greek-Turkish relations, Mr. Androulakis said that since 2020, Erdogan has announced his intentions for both the Monastery of Chora and Hagia Sophia.

For non-state universities

Mr. Androulakis said that he is in favor of the establishment of non-state, non-profit universities and wonders “how it is possible for a fund to file an application to establish a company for universities in Greece before the law is presented”.

Actually

Finally, to be precise, and when asked to comment by the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, on the words of the Prime Minister that we cannot afford a reduction in the VAT, Mr. Androulakis said that the state budget will not lose from the VAT.

At the same time, he accused the government of exploiting the accuracy of the state apparatus and characterized the letter sent by Kyriakos Mitsotakis to Ursula von der Leyen as the accuracy “mockery”.

“We became a multinational banana with Mitsotakis prime minister” he said.

Mr. Androulakis submitted his own proposals to fight the exaction which are: Single consumer authority, Campaign against multinationals, reduction of VAT on basic goods, market controls and very large fines.

At the same time, he proposed to tax the super profits of supermarkets and banks.

In closing, Mr. Androulakis made it known that he sent a letter together with the PASOK MPs to Mr. Tasoula with a request to Unesco to make February 9 the world day of the Greek language.
