The Ambassador of Israel, Noam Katz, criticizes the president of SYRIZA on the occasion of his visit to the Palestinian territories, stating that he chose to talk to only one side.

In particular, responding to a journalist’s question, after the visit of Stefanos Kasselakis to the Palestinian Authority, the Ambassador of Israel stated that “one can say that it was a missed opportunity for the President of the official opposition to make a difference instead of making statements”.

I would hope that in addition to sympathizing with the Palestinians, the SYRIZA leader, while in Ramallah, would condemn the atrocities of Hamas, call for the immediate and unconditional release of the hostages,” Mr. Katz said, adding “that Mr. .Kasselakis during the crossing to Israel would take the opportunity to also meet with the families of the 125 hostages in Israel and visit the Kibbutzim in the south of the country where Hamas committed its massacre.

He pointed out that “he would be welcome in Israel. But maybe that wasn’t his purpose.”
