“SYRIZA has a program to address the issues that concern citizens”
“THE SYRIZA-PS united and coordinated is fighting the crucial political battle aimed at political change and overthrow. With the aim of strengthening his electoral influence and weakening the percentages of the Mitsotakis government, which is walking with the arrogance of 41%”, stressed the press representative of SYRIZA-PS, Voula Kehagia, when informing the political editors. He pointed out that Stefanos Kasselakis, continuing his tours around Greece, is moving to Rhodes today.
He emphasized that SYRIZA has a program to deal with the issues that concern the citizens, “it has documented and absolutely costed proposals that will improve the daily life of the citizens and will bring back to the fore their expectation for a better life”.
“Not for a “half” life as promised by Mr. Mitsotakis: Half a kilo of feta cheese, half a lamb, half a liter of milk, half a holiday, half everything. A half-hearted, stunted life without dreams”, he commented, to note that “SYRIZA-PS promises the citizen a better life. Better life with dignity. With equal opportunities for everyone and not just for the few and elite of Mr. Mitsotakis’ company”.
He noted that “SYRIZA-PS looks citizens in the eye and promises them that it works for their own interests. No lies and “imported excuses” for everything”.
“ND is steadily taking us backwards and the only political force that can ensure the future and the future is SYRIZA PS”, he said, accusing the government of “arrogance, toxicity, populism”.
He claimed that he is tired “with her hypocrisy and her communication sloppiness”, that she is burdening the taxpayers with 400,000 euros from the fine imposed on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs “for the delivery of emails with personal data of foreign voters to the ND”. He accused the government of “unabashed risk-taking” and “blackmail” of the citizens’ vote “with the supposed stability it promises”, as well as of “covering up the crime of Tempe”.
In this regard, he said that the government “instead of even now giving explanations and answers for the mass shooting that it ordered at the scene of the tragedy in Tempi continues to evade with terms of vulgarity and absolute toxicity”.
He referred to the reports that “the government did not deny” and that “confirm that in a secret meeting that took place at the scene of the crime with the participation of Mr. Agorastos, Triandopoulos, Xifaras and a representative of Hellenic Train, it was decided to put together the area”.
He argued that “the world has come to understand both the magnitude of the government’s responsibilities for the tragedy and the massive effort to cover up a crime, which continues even now” and that “the truth cannot be denied despite the government’s relentless efforts to destroy critical evidence.” ».
On the occasion of the announcement of the data on the implementation of the Budget and the tax revenues of the first four months which are 2 billion euros above the target, the representative of SYRIZA commented that the government is not thinking of reducing any taxes.
He said that, on the contrary, “maintaining indirect taxes at high rates is a choice of Mr. Mitsotakis’ ND and aims not only to ensure surpluses but also to reduce consumption, as the responsible finance minister cynically said, admitting that the increase of consumption is not something the ND government wants”.
“Today, in fact, Mr. Hatzidakis reached the point of saying that if the SYRIZA program is implemented, pensions will be at risk,” he added. He also mentioned that in today’s interview, the prime minister repeated that “the reduction of VAT will mean a reduction in revenue – so he does not intend to do it to relieve society -, he again argued that we will not have a reduction in prices if taxes are reduced.”
Mrs. Kehagia accused the prime minister of his claim that “the absolutely costed program of SYRIZA-PS will lead to bankruptcy of the country” and that “he is teaching SYRIZA lessons by talking about “money trees” while distributing the resources of the Recovery Fund to a few and liked”.
Asked about it, she said that the arrogance of Mr. Mitsotakis is that “with the 41% he received, he thought he got a blank check, that he can pursue whatever policy he considers to be for the good of the government and its elected officials.”
He added that Mr. Mitsotakis and his government “are not accountable to society and behave arrogantly”, to emphasize that “ND and its arrogance will be judged on June 9 and a message will be sent by society itself and the Greek people ».
He noted that when SYRIZA criticizes the prime minister for arrogance, it is not criticizing the citizens who voted for him but himself “because he did not respect the vote of the citizens and governs with arrogance, considering that he got a blank check”.
On the occasion of statements by leading ministers about SYRIZA and its program, Mrs. Kehagia accused the government of “unabashed risk-taking”. “They want to terrorize the citizens and this is their favorite tactic,” he said, adding that Mr. Mitsotakis keeps talking about left trees, that “Mr. Hatzidakis says that retirees will not get pensions if the SYRIZA program is implemented.” He commented that “the epitome of populism is the rhetoric of the Mitsotakis government and the ND.”
To a question about the criticism leveled by the president of PASOK towards the president of SYRIZA, Mrs. Kehagia replied that “we are dealing with the path of SYRIZA towards the European elections, we are speeding up, we are raising the pace, all together united, strong, we are moving forward and we will achieve the best strong result”.
“We look ahead wanting to look society in the eye, we are not concerned with what the other parties are doing, each party makes its own policy, follows its own rhythms and we will all be judged at the polls” he added.
Regarding the discussions on the Center Left, he commented that it is an early discussion and that SYRIZA is looking at the polls and how it will achieve the best possible result in the European elections, “because we believe that it will be the first step for a winning path to the national elections whenever these are announced”.
“We will be the first party in the nationals,” he emphasized, adding that this debate about the Center-Left is a debate that has been heard for decades and that “whoever there is a question of being put at the head of the Center-Left is something completely untimely and pointless of the present”.
In another question, he emphasized that former president and former prime minister Alexis Tsipras is politically active, he is an active SYRIZA member of parliament, “it is our honor that he defends the interests of the progressive and left-wing world of Europe from the Council of Europe and having a special role in the parliamentary assembly of the Council of Europe”.
