“In open communication with employees and businesses, we are promoting the upgrade of the Digital Work Card, which will be fully implemented on July 1, 2024 in industry and retail. This was stated by the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Domna Michailidou, who was present today at the information event on the implementation of the Digital Work Card in industry, organized by the Association of Businesses and Industries (SEV) and the Association of Industries of Central Greece (SVSE) ), under the auspices of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
“We came today to Central Greece, which represents 14% of the Gross Value Added (GVA) of the country’s industry, to provide answers and technical solutions to issues that may arise from the implementation of the measure.
Like you, we want a working framework that will make it easier for employers and secure for workers. We are open to improvement interventions, which will facilitate its implementation, without altering the purpose of its establishmentMrs. Michailidou noted.
During her greeting, the Minister of Labor and Social Security made it known that employees who hold supervisory or management positions will be exempt from the obligation to mark the Digital Card, as long as this is provided for in their individual employment contract and the way they are declared in the Information “ERGANI” system.
“This change we are promoting“, said Mrs. Michailidou, “it is a result of the open and honest dialogue we have with those involved. Our goal and main concern is for the Digital Work Card to work for the benefit of everyone involved. We are optimistic that, within the next few days, in conjunction with the start of operation of “TOOL II”, we will have resolved most of the problems that have been pointed out to us, as it will also be possible to register in the system any changes to the schedule and overtime».
The Minister of Labor and Social Security also emphasized that the government’s aim is to increase productivity, create well-paid jobs and strengthen businesses to become more competitive and extroverted.

In today’s informative event on the implementation of the Digital Labor Card in the industry, held at the Thebes Conference Center, the general secretary of Labor Relations, Anna Stratinaki, and the general director of Labor Relations, Health, Safety and Integration at Work, Konstantinos Agrapidas, participated.
On the part of the industrialists, representatives from 150 industries attended and the president of SBSEPanos Lolos, the president of the Executive Committee of SEV, Efthymios
