Preparing for the NATO Summit, my position on the use of the name is clear, says the Acting Prime Minister of North Macedonia
The Acting Prime Minister of North Macedonia and leader of the right-wing party VMRO-DPMNE Christian Mickoski he repeated today regarding the use of the country’s constitutional name, that his position is clear and no one should have doubts about it.
Asked to comment on the report of the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in the context of the interview he granted today to “Real FM”, that “the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, if from the moment he takes office, he sticks to this rhetoric, he will find himself in a very uncomfortable position when we meet at the NATO summit,” Christian Mickoski said he was “preparing” and that he “would like to see this challenge.”
“I am preparing. I am a person who prepares and I like challenges. I would like to see this challenge as well. My position is clear and no one should be in any doubt about it. If there are in Europe – and I don’t think there are – European politicians who present themselves as European politicians of the 21st century and have within them Taliban motives and want to endanger the human right guaranteed by many international conventions, then I am ready with them people to argue and discuss and on that we should have no doubt. I’m interested in building bridges, not tearing them down, and talking based on arguments, based on data. I am ready to debate with both arguments and facts and this is what I do all my life, not only at the NATO Summit. Wherever it is, in Athens, Skopje and Brussels. I am ready to debate anywhere with facts and with arguments”, Christian Mickoski said in response to journalistic questions.
