The government representative noted that this is the second time the government has taken such a decision.

“We have also done it with the emergency mechanism in the energy companies. You must have complete accounting data to know exactly the income you will overtax” pointed out Mr. Marinakis in response to why this government took the decision now, after the elections.

At the same time, he underlined how this money will be given to the pensioners but also for maintaining the reduced VAT on coffee (delivery and take away) and taxis.

For freelancers

But we want to see if there are individual injustices” and pointed out that not all businesses operate the same.

For the fires

Regarding the difficulties of the days due to the continuous fires, Mr. Marinakis said that how “it seems that we have better results because we have 700 more forest firefighters, forest commando units from 6 to 16, there is a preventive plan for the clearing of lands and the legislation has been tightened.”

However, as he said that the government still has kilometers to go, however, it shows that it is present with more weapons.

For the developments in the center-left

Regarding what is happening in the center-left, Mr. Marinakis said the government monitors them.

“More than the exchange or battle of faces we are interested in the battle of ideas and propositions. People at the end of the day want solutions. That’s why many people supported us” he said.

Finally, about what sounds like Samaras and Karamanlis are closer than ever and are against Kyriakos Mitsotakisthe government spokesman replied: “This is not the case against a party that has endured 50 years in the post-colonial period. I consider the news positive, which tells us that two former prime ministers are speaking out especially on European issues. Historically, the ND has solved them through dialogue.”
