The Greek Prime Minister will attend the events condemning the Turkish invasion in Cyprus on July 20 Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Government sources who spoke to DW confirmed journalistic information, according to Elli’s journalistic information on a relevant invitation from Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulidis to participate in the events held in Nicosia on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of July 197.
Mitsotakis’ presence in Cyprus will make him the first Greek prime minister to visit the anniversary of the 1974 invasion. According to DW information, during his visit to the island the Greek prime minister will attend the anti-occupation event that will be held at the presidential palace on July 20 .
