He added that “the dialogue takes place in the institutions or in public with statements[…] The bodies will convene next Saturday and I tell you that there will be a battle[…] At this moment it should be made clear that Mr. Tsipras has neither declared nor expressed in any way his intention to come back and become president of SYRIZA. So, what is mentioned about a comeback “come and I will resign and you take over” does not correspond to reality. Nor does the current president, Mr. Kasselakis, have the right to hand over his position to someone else, because he was not appointed by someone else. We elected him 150,000 […]».

At another point he said “O SYRIZA he comes out wounded by electoral defeats, by splits. And indeed there are different approaches, as there are in all parties. Whether we will eventually manage to coexist, whether we will manage to compose, is a bet that we have to win for the citizens who stayed loyal to the European elections and gave us a decent percentage, not our goal, but a decent percentage for them too who sweat every day to support SYRIZA”.
