In detail, the names and biographies of the members
Following the announcements of the composition of other “think tanks” of the party in the previous days, Mr SYRIZA PS announced the composition of two more think tanks, for Entrepreneurship and for European Policy.
The Entrepreneurship Think Tank
The Entrepreneurship Think Tank consists of Evangelia Katsikeas, George Konstantakopoulos, Vangelis Lymbouridis, Antonios Georgopoulos, Augustos Pantazidis.
Here are brief biographies:
Evangelia Katsikeas
He holds a PhD in international marketing and strategy from Cardiff Business School in the UK. She is Associate Professor at ICN Ecole de Management in Paris. She has worked at the University of Wales, the Athens University of Economics and Business and King’s College London at the ranks of assistant and substitute professor.
George Konstantakopoulos
Graduated from the University of Manchester, Alliance Manchester Business School where he was accepted on a scholarship to a Research Master of Entrepreneurship. There he focused his research on social entrepreneurship and innovation. While completing his master’s he founded the Manchester Social Entrepreneurs community where he has coordinated innovation workshops, events, incubators and support programs for impact ventures. His actions in the field of social entrepreneurship have made him a member of the Lord Mayor and Greater Manchester Region (GMCA) social entrepreneurship advisory group. He has designed and implemented innovation, promotion and support programs for entrepreneurs, contributed to the European Horizon 2020 Research & Innovation, was Head of Social Innovation in a Research and Innovation project with European funding of 5 million euros (Horizon 2020) with the NGO team (ex .: UN FAO), Academic and Research Institutes and partners from 14 EU countries. The project managed for the first time to confirm data collected by European Space Agency satellites on the health of the Earth’s soil and environment using data collected by the citizens (citizen generated data – GROW setup a citizen observatory). He has worked as an executive but also as a consultant in deep-tech, digital, e-commerce and AgriTech startups. He has run a start-up accelerator program for one of the best Corporate Venture Capital in Europe (Wayra UK/Telefonica) with the main purpose of business innovation aimed at improving the standard of living of people living near or below the poverty line. He has won several innovation competitions and hackathons and has also received awards recognizing his work in the field of entrepreneurship.
Vangelis Lymbouridis
Founder of the specialist innovation design firm ENOSIS in Los Angeles with clients such as Google, and Hewlett Packard. Professor for many years at USC’s School of Computer Science and School of Film. Designer of the first FDA-cleared virtual reality therapeutic product for mental health. Co-founder of the Greek start-up company ATRiDE, based in Syros, co-financed by the European Innovation Council. He holds a PhD in (human-centred) interactive systems from the University of Edinburgh.
Antonios Georgopoulos
Doctor of the University of GÓ§ttingen, Germany and Professor at the Department of Business Administration of the University of Patras in “international business and financial accounting”. He was visiting professor at the Universities of Sheffield (UK), Swansea (UK), and GÓ§ttingen (Germany). He collaborates scientifically with academic institutions of the country and is a lecturer at open universities in Greece and abroad, in the context of distance education. He has rich work experience in a business consulting company in Germany and in domestic organizations and a commercial bank in Greece.
August Pantazidis
He is a business consultant. He studied at the Technical University of Crete where, through the Diploma Thesis “Santorini Basalts: A new Candidate Martian Analogue”, he specialized in planetary Geology and more specifically in finding geologically identical regions of Mars on Earth. He continued his studies at the Agricultural University of Athens, where he had the opportunity to immerse himself even more in the development of space applications by participating in distinguished projects on the subject of cultivation in space (Space Agrobox, Cyclamina Project). In the following years, he himself participated in long-duration simulated missions to Mars and the Moon, as an analog astronaut. In addition, he had the opportunity to test his capabilities as a trainee astronaut for private companies in the Career Astronaut Competition in California, USA, while he managed through scholarships to acquire the necessary skills to participate in manned missions such as that of a pilot or an autonomous diver. For the last two years and through the experience he has gained in the field of manned space, which reaches one decade, he has been working as a consultant on space tourism with the aim of developing and promoting this specific business sector in Greece and Cyprus.
The European Policy think tank
As stated in the SYRIZA PS announcement, the members of the European Policy Think Tank are distinguished for their knowledge of European issues and the experience they have gained from their participation in European institutions. It consists of Christos Kourtelis, Ioannis Gounaris, Nikolas Tsili, Kyriakos Georgopoulos, Evangelos Papageorgiou, Vasiliki Silvia Kambalouris, Paraskevi Kyriakopoulos.

Christos Kourtelis
He is a Professor of European Public Policy at Panteion University with experience in coordinating and designing research on European institutions and EU foreign policy. He has worked as a lecturer at various universities in Europe. He holds a PhD in International Political Economy from King’s College London, an MA from the London School of Economics and a BA from the Hellenic Open University. He has published books and articles on Euro-Mediterranean relations and European politics.
Ioannis Gounaris
He is a Lawyer specializing in Constitutional Law, EU Law and the European Convention on Human Rights. He has a PhD in Public Legal Studies from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, on the regulation of biotechnology in International, European and Greek law. He studied at the London School of Economics and holds various diplomas in public international law, human rights and European legal practice.
Nicholas Chili
He is a Policy Adviser at the UK Home Office. An MA graduate in Political Economy from the London School of Economics and a multi-talented scientist with a background in political science, experience in the field of public administration. With a rich CV that includes scholarships from leading universities such as LSE, SciencesPo University of Politics of Paris, Japanese Government Scholar (JASSO) at Kyoto University, as well as recognition with international awards such as Sutton Trust US Scholar and Fortis Fellowship, he stands out as a recognized talent in the world of politics and public administration.
Kyriakos Georgopoulos
He is an executive of the European Commission. A graduate of History and Law, with intense trade union activity during his student years, he settled in Brussels at a young age and worked initially in the European Parliament and later continued in the Commission where he has served for 25 years in various political and administrative positions. Today he is Head of the Communication and IT department of the European Innovation Council.
Evangelos Papageorgiou
He is a Lawyer at the Supreme Court, specializing in Civil, Commercial and European Law. He holds a PhD from Panteion University in the Financing of Medium and Small Enterprises in the European Union and a Master’s from the University of London in European Commercial and Tourism Law. He maintains a law office and has worked as a legal advisor to various organizations.
Vasiliki Silvia Kabbalouris
He is a Lawyer from the School of Law of the University of Athens (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). He holds an LL.M. in Commercial and Corporate Law from University College London (University of London), United Kingdom. He serves as a legal expert in the Directorate of Legal Services of the General Directorate of Competition of the Hellenic Competition Commission (EA). He works as a Lawyer and is a member of the Athens Bar Association. She is also an approved mediator in civil and commercial private law matters and is accredited by the Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights. He served as a Residential Management Consultant in Morocco, at the Conseil de la Concurrence of Morocco, seconded by the Hellenic Competition Commission. As Residence Management Advisor for the Morocco-EU Institutional Twinning Program for Strengthening Institutional Capacities of the Competition Council of Morocco (MA 18 ENI FI 01 21 R), he coordinated between the EU partner countries (Greece, Poland, Italy), the Council Competition Authority of Morocco, the Contracting Authority (Ministry of Finance of Morocco) and the EU Delegation.
Friday of Kyriakopoulos
She studied at the Higher School of Economics and Commercial Sciences (ASOEE), where she obtained her degree from the Department of Business Administration. With postgraduate studies at the Université libre de Bruxelles. At the Institute of European Studies, he completed the LICENCE SPECIALE (MASTER) program in European Economy. In addition, he attended the LICENCE SPECIALE (MASTER) program in Maritime and Aviation Law at the Law School of the same university, where he excelled. He worked at the European Commission, in the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs, Structural Funds Evaluation Department, from 1992 to 1995. During this period, he participated in the evaluation of the Structural Funds and CSF interventions of various countries, such as Greece, Portugal , Belgium, France and the Netherlands. He also represented Directorate General II in community initiatives. He served in the Ministry of National Economy of Greece, in various positions in the General Directorate of International Economic Relations. Participated in bilateral negotiations for international transport and evaluated projects financed by the World Bank. He worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the General Secretariat of International Economic Relations and Development Cooperation. She was the director of the Directorate of Emergency Humanitarian and Food Aid (YDAS 1) and was the head of the task force to combat Human Trafficking. During the Greek Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2003, he presided over humanitarian issues. He served in the Permanent Greek Delegation to the European Union, representing Greece in various Council working groups on development and cooperation issues. He has also worked in the Directorate for European Integration, Economic and Monetary Policy, dealing with fiscal issues and the ECOFIN Council.
