“Today we have a top process. The Central Committee will be a political process in the direction of overcoming and overturning the data and not the diversion into a further civil conflict”, he said to SKAI and on the show “Dekatianoi” with Yiannis Pittaras and Giorgos Grigoriadis, the member of the K.E. of PASOK and former minister Dimitris Reppas.

“The most important thing is the valuation that we will do to correspond to what is a common feeling, to the experience and perception of the citizens. PASOK is a party that has proven that it works for the country and the citizens, not for the anxieties and ambitions of its executives. Not even indoors, PASOK is not a pet movement”, added Mr. Reppas and – as he pointed out – “offering services by taking on huge costs when necessary. It prioritizes the national interest over the party and the personal.”

Regarding whether PASOK has a role in politics today, Mr. Reppas underlined that “PASOK is extremely useful for the country”.

“Today, with a strong instinct for survival and a strong sense of responsibility towards the citizens, we will make the right decisions, we will propose the policies and the plan for the country and we will see who are the persons who can carry out this plan successfully. . We are not looking for a change of leadership, we are looking for a change of government in the country”, emphasized Mr. Reppas, underlining that “we will all be together. It’s not the excess of disagreement that bothers me, it’s the deficit of faith that bothers me. Because we can all – despite our differences – coexist with a common code of cooperation. I believe that we will have a happy continuation”.

Asked if PASOK has the persons who will be able to bring about the political upheaval, Mr. Reppas replied that “PASOK is a rich deposit, with a multitude of executives. We can choose the current people who can succeed anyone in the leadership of PASOK from among 15, 20, 30 executives. And PASOK has the sufficient number of executives to lead the party.

Mr. Reppas also underlined that there should not be many candidates. “It’s a succession race and it shouldn’t be a bus. It is good to go with a small number of candidates so that citizens can easily understand the proposals”, he said.

Regarding the date of the PASOK elections, Mr. Reppas said: “We will have a sufficient period of time to give the interested parties the opportunity to develop their program. We should be compatible with what the world perceives. People understand that we are in a period of relaxation. From September – October is a good political moment – we can go to an internal party process”.

He asserted that “we are not talking about transitional but final solutions” noting that “we must choose a person and a leadership team to have a victorious confrontation with the ND”.

Referring to the processes for the center-right, Mr. Reppas repeated that “since 2013 I have proposed a dialogue with SYRIZA”. “If this had been done then, the developments would have been different. Nor would Tsipras and Mr. Karamanlis have the underground agreements to both incriminate PASOK, so that Mr. Tsipras could plunder PASOK’s votes.”, he added.
