“Objectively, the responsibility for the negative result mainly concerns the president himself”
Criticism of the party president, Stefanos Kasselakis and in his choices, exercised by Thanassis Theocharopoulosspeaking to Central Committee of SYRIZA.
“In the elections, we got 3 percentage points and 340,000 votes less than the very negative result we got a year ago, which led to the resignation of the former president,” said Mr. Theocharopoulos and added:
“The K.E. is meeting today. of the party which has never met since the Congress to date. We went to the European elections with only the president’s decisions. Therefore, objectively, the responsibilities of the negative result mainly concern him. This is how it happens in democracies, negative results are debited and positive ones are credited.”
He then stated:
“There were many pre-election mistakes. Post-election even more. Posts with insinuations about the transparency of the party, with insinuations about subversives up to the former president, with political persecutions. And of course by closing the Dawn ‘with a switch’ like the “black” of ERT. And then the previous ones, the workers and the next ones are to blame.”
It was mentioned “in the text submitted by the dozens of members of the K.E. and we propose a referendum to decide for the party to take initiatives so that we can actively and proactively participate in the restructuring of the progressive space, without disbanding the parties, with the aim of a large body of the progressive space. Society and the grassroots want it.”
He closed by calling on the executives to “move forward for a great progressive faction. Without insecurities to give the speech to the members and friends of the party. Dozens of K.E. members are asking for it. of the party. It is a crucial matter if we want to win the ND”.
