The president of SYRIZA PS referred to the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip,
Stefanos Kasselakis met the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Giorgos Gerapetritis, in order to be informed about a series of foreign policy issues. The president of the SYRIZA PS was accompanied by the head of Foreign Policy, Rena Dourou and the diplomatic advisor, Dimitris Papageorgiou.
According to the SYRIZA announcement, Stefanos Kasselakis “expressed his concern about the provocative Turkish actions, stressing that the recession in Greek-Turkish relations is positive, but the dialogue must be promoted on the basis of honesty, mutual respect and international law, with Greece making its red lines clear”. At the same time, Mr. Kasselakis “reiterated the need for a fair and sustainable solution to the Cyprus problem in the context of the relevant decisions of the UN Security Council”.
Finally, the president of SYRIZA PS “referred to the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, with the return of all hostages and the resumption of credible talks in the Palestinian Authority, based on the 1967 borders, for a solution of two states that coexist peacefully, with simultaneous recognition of the State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital”.
