Another fierce fight between Adonis Georgiadis and Pavlos Polakis unfolded in the social affairs committee of the Parliament during the discussion of the donation of the Niarchos Foundation to the National Health System.

The reason was the regulation for the pharmaceutical and hospital coverage of the uninsured, which was also the reason for Pavlos Polakis’ insulting attack on Maria Syregela.

The Minister of Health strongly reacted to what the Chanioti MP claimed during the committee meeting, with the dialogue that follows being indicative of the explosive atmosphere that prevailed inside the room:

PAVLOS POLAKIS: Mr. Georgiadis, re-read the legislative provision that spoke of primary care, i.e. examinations or prescriptions and not hospital care. You mentioned a hospital to the KYA, but it didn’t exist.

ADONIS GEORGIADIS: Don’t leave. No don’t leave!

PAVLOS POLAKIS: Why do you work for us!

GIORGOS STYLIOS: You don’t have the floor, Mr. Polakis.

PAVLOS POLAKIS: You are not a pedoman, Mr. President.

ADONIS GEORGIADIS: Don’t leave. Sit down. Sit down! You came to parliament and challenged once again. You can’t do to me what you did to Ms. Syringela, so sit here and listen after you’ve answered. are you leaving Put it on the feet. You’ve always been such a coward. Put it on the feet. Go away! Ouch! Put it on the feet. Since you are strong, sit down and listen.

PAVLOS POLAKIS: Recall!

ADONIS GEORGIADIS: Sit down and listen.

PAULOS POLAKIS: Did you hear that?
