“We’re not done. We want the police to sweep all these networks, which in recent years with Greeks and foreigners have penetrated into entrepreneurship, mainly at night and catering and extort people who literally make a piece of bread. That’s exactly what we’re here for. All this is a product and result of a job done by Greek policeand I tell you that in the coming days there will be very big results for the fight against corruption,” he said.

At the same time, he emphasized that “what is happening now is a strong decision to deal a very big, heavy blow to all of this. Be sure that every day, every week and every month we will have these kinds of strikes, in order to eliminate this cancer that exists in the public administration, but also in the market.”

“The police started working well, systematically, efficiently”, the Minister of Citizen Protection also noted, announcing the catalytic presence of the police on the island of Mykonos, in order to “abolish all these phenomena, which discredit the island and this is a decision us”, he underlined. He also stated that the investigation will continue and the Greek FBI has been set up in this direction: “The police have penetrated the network of thugs, extortionists, fuel and contraband cigarettes”.
