The private work of the NHS doctors makes the position of a doctor in the NHS more attractive, states the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, in his post, while emphasizing that the measures will result in a greater influx of new doctors.

The Minister of Health proceeded with this particular post on the occasion of the publication on Gazette of the Government which determines the terms, conditions and procedure for private practice of the doctors and dentists of the National Health Service.

In particular, Mr. Georgiadis stated that “I am proud that during my term of office the biggest reform was carried out in the National Social Security System since its establishment. The private work of the NHS doctors makes the position of a doctor in the NHS more attractive. With all the other measures we are taking I believe we will start to see a much greater turnout in our calls for recruitment of new doctors.”
