Conference on Libya: Mitsotakis in Paris – The demands of the Greek side |

by

Kyriakos Mitsotakis is in France as part of the conference on Libya that is being held today in Paris, in which Greece is also participating at the invitation of French President Macron after the Greek-French defense agreement.

The conference for the country of Africa is characterized as particularly critical, in view of the elections scheduled for December 24.

The Greek side will raise the issue of adhering to the election schedule as well as respecting the October 2020 ceasefire.

At the same time, it will demand the withdrawal of foreign troops and mercenaries from Libya in order for the elections to be conducted safely and reliably.

The next day in Libya clearly concerns Greece while it is also focusing on the Turkish-Turkish memorandum.

Tsavousoglou is not going to Paris at the moment

And while there have been rumors of Mevlüt Çavuşoλουlu arriving in Paris at the last minute, it seems that the Turkish Foreign Minister remains in Istanbul to attend the 8th summit of the Turkish Council.

According to the announcement of the Turkish Foreign Minister, the Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Sendad Onal will be the one who will represent Turkey in the conference on Libya.
