“The postponement of the planned visit to Athens by the Turkish Minister of the Interior, Ali Gerlikaya, will not be a barrier to the open channel of communication that has started in recent months and has already borne fruit between the two countries,” they add.

“The Ministry of Immigration and Asylum wishes to continue the dialogue between Greece and Turkey and expects that a new meeting can be scheduled soon. Dealing with immigration requires joint efforts and cooperation and we are ready to work in this direction.”
