“The case ended in essentially the same way as the case of wiretapping at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the KKE, removing “oil” from the government’s responsibilities and concealing the essence of the case”
“The conclusion of the Supreme Court on the wiretapping case is what the government wanted to cover up, once again, its enormous responsibilities. It confirms that the “source” of the problem is a deeply reactionary legal and institutional framework, which enables governments and the state to intensify mass and preventive surveillance, based on the doctrine “no one is exempt from surveillance”” emphasizes the KKE in a statement and points out:
“This framework, which has been formed, maintained and strengthened by all governments, on the basis of EU guidelines, has in its sights, first of all, the people themselves and their demands. This is the ground for – with a simple invocation of “reasons of national security” – the tens of thousands of “legal” and with them illegal connections, some of which eventually come to light.
“The case ended in essentially the same way as the wiretapping case at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the KKE, removing the governmental responsibilities and concealing the essence of the case. Of course, the “washing” through the so-called “independent” Justice – whose leadership is appointed by the respective government – and the so-called “independent” authorities, in no way cancels the responsibilities of the current ND government, as well as the previous ones. Those who today discover the manipulation of the judiciary, are the same ones who rejected the KKE’s proposals to change the way of choosing its leadership”, the KKE also states, and underlines at the end of its statement:
“It is also proven on this occasion that the “state of law” that they all defend is nothing more than the state of injustice, exploitation, the violation of every popular right and freedom in order to shield the power of capital. Their defense is in the hands of the people, on the way of the struggle for the definitive overthrow of this injustice”.
