The president of SYRIZA-PS, Stefanos Kasselakis, refers to the issue of banks and “the increases that the bankers gave themselves”, in a post on social media, attributing responsibility to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

The post of the head of SYRIZA in detail:

“Banks in the Mitsotakis era.
With a decision taken by the bankers themselves, they tripled salaries and bonuses for themselves, reaching their annual salaries from 1 to 1.5 million euros.
The banks were saved with money from the Greek people, who bled all the years of the crisis.
And what banking system was created? This with the highest transaction fees, the lowest deposit rates and the highest lending rates. A banking system in which the micro-entrepreneur does not have access to credit and large business groups are the protagonists.
In other words, the Mitsotakis banking system was created. Flat charges for all, exclusion for the many, favorable treatment for the few and “chosen”.
And now? Having faithfully served the Mitsotakis doctrine, they give themselves bonuses. For their contribution to society!
I expect the media not to hesitate, because of the amount of bank advertisements, and to expose the matter. I certainly expect the same from the rest of the political system. I’m asking everyone to clean up now. With the bankers and Mitsotakis or with society?
We have chosen a path.
Lonely but fair. That’s why entanglement fights us so much. We proved it when we collided with Attica bank. We will do the same now. No one is holding us back.”
