Kyriakos Mitsotakis is optimistic about the reduction in accuracy and the retreat of inflation

A quick and efficient step to deal with and eliminate the problems of everyday life immediately – where possible – he asked his Ministers Kyriakos Mitsotakis during the first Cabinet meeting after the August recess.
Giving the pace at which the government is expected to move in the next period, the prime minister proposed the issues of everyday life and focusing on punctuality, which he admitted is bothering the citizens, he appeared optimistic about its reduction and the retreat of inflation. “The “banks” that we have raised so far, which are many, are effective and this difficult phase, which we have undeniably passed, is coming to an end” said the Prime Minister, who is overlooking the picture of the markets but he observed: “Don’t get me wrong, we’ve said it many times, no one is saying that prices haven’t gone up in our country in recent years. What we are saying is that we are resisting and that things will gradually get better.”
Besides, in this context and in the battle that the government is fighting, to relieve at least one part of society, more vulnerable, next weekend, during the presence and speech of Kyriakos Mitsotakis in TEF it is expected that the planning for the so-called accuracy check and the form it will take will also be clarified, as specific social groups await the announcements with interest, hoping to be included in the beneficiaries of this benefit that will probably be given close to the Christmas holidays. In addition to pensioners who do not receive increases due to a personal difference, other groups such as low-paid and low-pensioners are likely to be included in the beneficiaries. In any case, the aim is to include among the beneficiaries pensioners, uninsured elderly, beneficiaries of the child benefit and the Minimum Guaranteed Income, as well as the disabled, while this budget of 300 million euros will come from the revenues of the temporary levy on the profits of the refineries .
“The battle is an ongoing battle” said Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who referring specifically to food, stated that “they fell below the European average, in fact, if we remove the disproportionately large effect of olive oil on the food price index in the country us, the food price index is now moving downwards”.
The prime minister also made a special mention of school supplies, ahead of the start of the new school year. “We have a first front now, which is none other than school supplies, as schools will reopen in September. I was happy to see that several chains now offer prices that are noticeably lower than last year. So I believe that both competition and state controls will work and in this area household costs will not be disproportionately burdened this year.”
Today the Prime Minister is expected to meet with the Minister of Education, Kyriakos Pierrakakisin view of the start of the new educational period, in order to be informed about the reforms and changes that will be implemented from this year in schools, (digital tutorial, digital learning objects, digitization of absences, new student penal code, etc.) but also the needs that covered or remain in view of 9/11 ringing the school bell.
