The improvement of citizens’ everyday life, with a substantial increase in their disposable income, the improvement of state benefits and the reversal of the climate for the government, make up the tripartite objectives set by the Kyriakos Mitsotakiswith the new measures she will present from her step TEF.
According to information, the prime minister has included in the “basket of interventions” of reductions in taxes and insurance contributions, but also increases in citizens’ income, in order to deal with the precision that plagues society.
More specifically, in the TIF o prime minister expected to announce:
1) reduction of social security contributions by one percentage point from 2025. A measure that will provide breathing space to businesses, but also indirect increases in the wages of workers in the private sector
2) Three-year tax exemption on rental income for those who make long-term airbnb rentals or closed properties.
3) Corrections to the presumptive way of taxation of the self-employed
4) Abolition of the pretense fee
The TIF basket includes a total of 36 measures and interventions for housing, demographics and climate change. The main measures will be the following:
1)Significant increases in child benefits, housing and social solidarity income
2) Pension increases of 2.5% from the beginning of next year
3) Christmas allowance of at least 250 million euros for vulnerable and low-pensioners
4) Productivity bonus in the public sector
5) Incentives for more young people in military schools
6) Annual allowance of up to 7,200 euros for doctors in barren and troubled areas
The cost of the new measures is estimated at around 1 billion euros.
