“No vision, no inspiration, sterile excuses” commented Stefanos Kasselakis
“Provisions without countermeasures, lack of vision and a hypocritical self-criticism, which is not convincing: this was the triptych of Mr. Mitsotakis’ speech at the International Exhibition of Thessaloniki”, underlines SYRIZA-PS in a statement, commenting on yesterday’s announcements by the prime minister at the TIF.
St. Kasselakis on Mr. Mitsotakis’ speech: “No vision, no inspiration, sterile excuses”
“Mr. Mitsotakis handed out increases that do not cover inflation, which his government is watching – when it is not calming down – running unchecked. And all this at a time when the real income of Greek households is rapidly decreasing during the period of the New Democracy’s rule, as all relevant studies show. He tried to christen as a “great success” the renovation of some buildings that house Health units, at a time when the National Health Service is in a state of emergency. And as if that were not enough, he tried to gild the pill of privatizing the NHS, promising funds from the Recovery Fund to cover the cost of afternoon surgeries for certain categories of citizens. In other words, the universal right of access to public health, which the citizens themselves have built with their contributions, will now depend on opportunistic funds, but also on the alleged generosity of Mr. Mitsotakis”, says SYRIZA, commenting :
“Furthermore, we sympathize with the… indignation expressed by Mr. Mitsotakis regarding the fire in Attica, which reached the homes of residents within the urban fabric.” “Apart from the indignation, however, Mr. Mitsotakis did not say anything else. Instead, he pointed the finger at those who haven’t paid for natural disaster insurance and reminded them of individual responsibility for cleaning up plots. Is it true, Mr. Mitsotakis, that the gross plots are to blame for the fact that 105,000 acres turned to ashes?”, the statement continues.
“We are also waiting for Mr. Mitsotakis to tell us what he was to blame for the destruction of Thessaly by the floods, as well as for the destruction of Pagasitikos. And of course we are waiting for him to tell us why not a single project has been carried out to restore the damage”, he emphasizes and concludes: “In vain, probably, we will wait for Mr. Mitsotakis to tell us about Tempi and the bazoma, since he likes criticism and resents the bad texts. As well as the wiretapping and the Predator.’
